All Traps On Earth: Not to be missed!

The Swedish band Änglagård are in most prog circuits legends. Their album Hybris from 1992 and Epilog from 1994 and Viljan’s Eye from 2012 is counted as amazing music. All Traps On Earth from Sweden consist of Änglagård members. Johan Brand has with All Traps On Earth created a new fantastic prog band. The band also includes Erik Hammarström (Änglagård) on drums, Thomas Johnson (ex-Änglagård) on keyboards as well as Miranda Brand (Änglagård’s bass player’s daughter). All Traps On Earth will release their debut record A Drop Of Light in a few days. The band add an impressive wind section and soundscapes provided by five guest musicians on the album.

Änglagård bassist Johan Brand has been working for five years with the remarkable release A Drop of Light. All Traps On Earth, named after Clifford D. Simaks’s futuristic 1962 book. All Traps On Earth have harmonically, tonally and metric significance with Änglagård. However the two bands are different due to Miranda Brand vocal contributions, most often non-verbal.

All Traps On Earth is an amalgam of European cinematographic music, King Crimson, Magma, National Health and Egg etc. Änglagård collected inspiration from Nordic folklore, but All Traps Of Light are inspired of many of the nice Italian horror-prog band. All Traps On Earth offer uncompromising, creative and eclectic music. The compositions are often very versatile, sharp and with a dark bottom and not at least wide-ranging.The musicianship are top notch without doubt and the harmonic sensibility are awesome. All Traps On Earth dare to do music without care about trends in prog music.
