Mallephyr – Womb Of Worms

Rokycany in the Czech Republic had a population of 14014 in 2016, and four of them where in the black/death metal band Mallephyr. The cornerstone of the black/death metal horde Mallephyr was laid at the end of year 2013, when the trio Opat, Tom, Adam started to work on their first songs. They had the clear vision beforehand, which direction to follow and what they wanted to express. In the next summer, Mallephyr were joined by bass-guitarist Sinneral and the unit was complete. They performed the first gig on 12th September in Pilsen. The new album Womb Of Worms is the second full-length. The title track,
Mallephyr is pure black/death metal with focus on the raw, relentless and brutal. From the first song on the debut album, Mallephyr presents themselves with a dense music and distorted guitars, and here and there some welcomed dissonance. Womb Of Worms has focus on dark atmosphere and disharmonies. Lyrically anchored in negativistic vision of mankind and world in general. Cover artwork was created by Marek Škubal, and the music might be for fans of Svart Crown, Behemot, Dissection and Outre.
