Rendezvous Point:  Belongs in every descant prog collection!

Rendezvous Point is a progressive metal band formed in Kristiansand, Norway founded late 2010. The band is made up of very talented people. They have very solid music backgrounds and plays with numerous band as Borknagar, Ics Vortes, Abbath, Leprous, Solefald, Morten Abel etc. The band play a melodic progressive metal in the lines of Leprous and Opeth with a lot of space left to the vocals and epic arrangements showing the great musicianship of the band. Actually Rendezvous Point belongs in every descant prog collection in my opinion! The musicians in Rendezvous Point met when they studied rhythmical music at the University Of Agder. Now they have released their sophomore album Universal Chaos. The very nice track Apollo,

It’s a very ambitious record they’ve released, trying to find their own voice in the throng of bands that exist within the modern progressive metal and rock scene. They have several qualities in common with other Norwegian bands that stand out in this field, such as Leprous and Circus Maximus. Besides clear connections, first and foremost a lot of talent and persistence, but also the willingness to both borrow unhindered and to sound different. Rendezvous Poin have a lot of space left to the vocals and epic arrangements showing the great musicianship of the band.
