Marco Machera with bass V, electronics and voice, Julie Slick with bass VI, electronics and obscured voice, Alessandro Inolti on drums and mangled voice and Jennifer Founds with vocal. Together they are the band Echotest. The music of the band is a slow burner, but they are challenging to the ears initially, in a good way! But then, with a little commitment and patience from the listener, Echotest’s music eventually blooms into something wonderfully simple and beautiful, despite the underlying complexity. Echotest has carved out a special music rooted in the best of avant-garde prog rock from the 70s and 80s as for instance Rovert Fripp, King Crimson, David Bowie and Brian Eno and many more. What started out as a seemingly simple project fronted by bassists Julie Slick and Marco Machera has developed into a highly sophisticated, deeply experimental, chops-laden and fully progressive rock band. They are now a full-fledged band, having added a drummer and vocalist. Because of this, they have developed a sound all their own, enabling them to take their music to new levels. The epic track No, You’re Dead/The Gate Of Light via some real killer riff and a fantastic music!
