Han Uil: Versatile musician from the Netherlands
Han Uil - Esoteric Euphony

Han Uil has a distinctive voice and plays some crafty guitar reminiscent to Mark Knopfler and Jeff Beck. His first solo album Alone was released thirteen years ago, and in June the fourth album Esoteric Euphony will be released. Uil`s new album is an album in the spirit of the band TumbleTown were Uil is the lead singer and he also plays guitars. The music on Esoteric Euphony have a nice twist compared with the music to TumbleTown.
Han Uil was the singer- songwriter/lead guitarist and front-man for the band Antares which broke up in 2005. In 2006 his did his first solo album and also joined the band Seven Day Hunt where he is the singer (three members of Seven Day Hunt are ex-Egdon Heath). Uil counts Peter Hammill among his strongest influences in musical style. Uli also founded the band Tumbletown. In the mid 90’s Uil started writing songs in cooperation with lyricist Philip Koning. With him he initiated the grunge rock formation Vertical Reality in 1995. From 1997 till 1999 he performed as a lead guitarist in the alternative rock band The Lounge. Uil is obviously a versatile musician.
