Humanart: With their own interpretation of black metal

Humanart are one of the oldest Portuguese black metal bands, and they where  established in 1998. They have released theei new album (Further) Into The Dephts some time ago. The music is traditional black metal effort which draws inspiration from the 90’s scene and where the band presents their interpretation forged and aged in the last two decades of underground. The new album was recorded and produced at Hanuman Studio by Bruno Silva and mastered in Sweden at Necromorbus Studio by Tore Stjerna (Armagedda, Behexen, Funeral Mist, Merrimak, Watain). Humanart was born in 1998 in Santo Tirso. In Santo Tirso there is a large center of textile industry, but obviously also place for raw black metal! Hamanart debut Fossil came in February 2000.

Although there was a setback for Humanart in August 2005, when the band became for a small period a one-man-band with JJ, guitarist and one of the Humanart founders, who was writing all the new material. At the beginning of 2007 a new formation was established. Along with 2008 came a series of performances on various stages all over the country with the renewed line up. 2008 also saw the celebration of the band’s 10th Anniversary and the release of the Special Tape Edition X Years Of Black Crusade EP – featuring two original songs and a cover of Carpathian Forest, recorded in the rehearsal studio Pitbull Studio by Praise Unholy Records.From 2009 to 2012 the band concentrated on more live shows.
