Sail By Summer’s debut album is entitled Casual Heaven, and the music is not the kind of music we normally write about. The reason we make an exception is that Sail By Summer has something melancholic and distinctive that appeals to us. The lyric is about longing, lack of self-confidence, songs about indifference and choice of directions. It could be Big Thief, Charlie Cunningham or Death Cab For Cutie, inspired by the sound of epic bands like The Cure, Pink Floyd and Spiritualized. In this refreshing environment you’ll find the melancholic Nordic indie band Sail by Summer. Fronted by Norwegian Grammy award winner William Hut with his characteristic voice and his long time Danish collaborator Jens Kristian Mørkeby Rimau behind the keys. Together they have created this universe inspired by the nature that surrounds them.
