ln the Dutch town Goes there is, among other things, a French fries factory and a glue factory and at least one 70s hard rock/ old-school heavy metal band. Harbour Of Souls released their first EP four years ago, and recently EP number two, Doomsayer was released. Harbour Of Souls is five friendly neighbors from the countryside of Zeeland, The Netherlands, and they are blending classic hard rock with sheer heavy metal aggression. The track Minestry Of Power,
Harbour Of Souls are called The Zeeland Thin Lizzy! The story of Harbour Of Souls is a classic one. A band is falling apart, some remaining members decide to jam and write some songs in one of those members garden shed. A year goes by and suddenly there is enough material for a set list. A band is formed to try out these songs live. The first show is one in support of Peter Pan Speedrock. Thrown to the wolves is the only way to learn. The music of Harbour Of Souls have been described as hard rock in bite-sized chunks. No infinite double-bass violence. No drop-D guitar tuning. Just a head and a tail. Classic riffs, classical sound, classical themes, cool solos to top it off and Iron Maiden-like lashings. Doomsayer was produced by Pieter Kloos (Peter Pan Speedrock, DOOL, Death Alley)
