Crocodile: Weird but accessible

It is very exciting to discover new not necessarily so famous bands that make really good music. One of the most exciting and talented bands is Crocodile!

On October 1st 2019 Crocodile releases their highly anticipated second album, Howling Mad Black Music Under Hot Stars, on Basement Avatar Records. The band states, «We are a band from Austin TX. Our music is not easily categorized. Imagine mash-up of the counterpoint of mixing Gentle Giant with the groove of Steely Dan, the bombast of Rush with the ear-worm melodies of ELO with the grandiloquence of Yes with melancholy of The Smiths? Weird huh? But, it’s working for us»!

These unlikely contrasts may sound unworkable, but it’s obviously working for Crocodile. The music on Howling Mad Black Music Under Hot Stars, is tightly arranged, yet still accessible and exciting progressive rock music, with beautiful melodies and romantic lyrics.
