Glorious Wolf is the brainchild of guitarist/composer/arranger/performer Ruud Dielen, and Glorious Wolf is a studio project from the Netherlands. Dielen has a passion for prog/ symphonic rock with a blues vibe and a little of everything that enters his mind. So far the result is two albums of old school prog with experimental twists & turns. The first album is all-instrumental and the second album Zodiac a mix of 6 vocal and 3 instrumental song. Zodiac will be released on friday this week. The track Close To The New World,
On Zodiac there are three guest musicians, and two handle the singing. Dielen says that his motto is creating without boundaries! Glorious Wolf is guitar driven music with strong guitar riffs, some fusion elements, and often a Pink Floyd-like spaciousness with some symphonic backing. After playing in several cover bands as Blow Out and Dicke Betsey, Dielen felt the time was right for writing his own compositions. The track Feelin` Blue,
Over the years his music developed from spherical to more experimental music with influences from symphonic/progrock, a little jazzrock-fusion and maybe some flirts with eclectic music. Still you can hear some blues in his style of playing. He finds his inspiration in astrology and shamanism, creating musical landscapes. He’s playing a variety of instruments such as acoustic and electric guitars, Saz, guitar-synthesizers, bass guitar and percussions.
