Flukt (Esacpe) perform harsh and cold Norwegian black metal. The music has clear reference to the old-school black metal sound made infamous by the Norwegian black metal scene in the early 90s. The music is aggressive and have a violent drive where the main focus is to create atmosphere.
The special thing with Flukt is the way dynamics is approached. Even when the music is fast and harsh Flukt is never afraid to mellow things down in slower passages and more groove oriented songs. The debut album Darkness Devour was released a month ago, and No Return is the first single as a first taste of the album.
Flukt hailing from Vennesla A beautiful village just north of Norway’s fifth largest city Kristiansand. The city I grew up in! The band was launched during the fall of 2014 but from the dark mood and the aggession in the music, every metal-head will get a flashback to the good old days of Norwegian black Metal in the 90s. Early this year Flukt signed a two-album deal with the label Dusktone from Italy. There Venndølene (which people from Vennesla are called locally) has got a solid supporter! Smart.
