R.I.P. Marie Fredriksson

Marie Fredriksson was the singer in the band Roxette, and after a prolonged battle against cancer she died at 61 years old yesterday. Many consider Roxette as the world’s most successful power pop duo, and they are definitely supported with love by their many fans around the world.

Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle came out of Sweden in the late ’80s. Their game was pop, their mission to conquer the world. With 33 chart-busting singles and total record sales exceeding 75 million, it’s seems safe to say mission accomplished.

Stated on You Tube today in loving memory, «Marie, the woman with that beautiful voice, left us after a long fight with cancer.We will never forget you , Roxette , and all the beautiful songs».
