Nándor Tombor is a young musician born in Szolnok but after a few months the family moved to Pécs. Although I have been living in Budapest since 2010, I have spent most of my life in Pécs so he will always declare himself Pécs. Tombor started with music at the age of six when he started to learn classic guitar. When he was fifteen he bought his first electric guitar. He then mainly learned the songs of his favorite songs of the time (Metallica, King Diamond, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc.), but at that time he did not write songs.
The turning point was when he saw the G3 2003 show. He met an entirely new world, the world of guitar heroes (Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and later John Petrucci). He started to practice seriously and he rapidly improve his guitar skills. The discovery of the progressive rock and metal music was just a step away.
With his classic background Tombor is also inspired of the music from Bartók and other contemporary composers. The mixture of his two favorite genres makes Tombors playing pretty fascinating. Tombor states that, «the complexity and maturity of classical music embedded into the heavier approach of rock and metal, resulting in a sophisticated, virtuoso mixture of high musicality».
Nine years ago the idea of Enigmatic Infinity was born at that time, and the first progressive-style songs were written, which can be heard on the debut album. In the following years, the songs have been born in line, and in order to improve Tombor`s instrumental and music theory knowledge. Tombor was so determined to develop as a musician that it began to take lessons from a teacher again! Three years ago Enigmatic Infinity released the full-lenght debut album Sentenced To Solitude. This album was soon followed by an EP called Azure.
