Valencia is the origin of the Spanish paella and of the talented band Melodic Doom/Death Metal band Evadne. Truly a tasteful and solid duo! Evadne have recently released the compilation album Dethroned Of Our Souls.
The band quotes on their homepage, «In this abode of distress where the old scars bleed again, we pray to the Morningstar as the heirs of sorrow that we are. Our colossal wounds hurts here, deep inside, abandoned in the lowest pit.

Evadne was formed in the year 2003 and influenced by classical bands of the gender from 90s. Evadne´s sound is based in melancholy, a desperate and devoted attempt to establish a band sound that cries for the deepest, most arcane and saddest feelings in humans! . Dethroned Of Our Souls contains the remixed and remastered EP songs of Dethroned Of Light, including a live session of the song Colossal. In addition the listener can enjoy the track Like Atlas, a cover of a Officium Triste song made for the 25th Anniversary record Born To Lose, Doomed To Die. And for the most bitter lovers of the band, you can also listen the sold out demo In The Bitterness Of Our Souls that was the first work edited by the band.
