11th Dimension - Supercrush
11th Dimension is an alternative metal outfit based in Lisbon, Portugal. Influenced by the modern wave of progressive and post-metal bands, their latest release came in 2018 with the debut album Paramnesia. 11th Dimension cover of Devin Townsend Project’s Supercrush! is out now,
The Supercrush! cover was recorded during 2019 while the band was working on new original material. It is both as a tribute to Devin Townsend and a treat for the fans. The song is also a nice fit to 11th Dimension since Townsend is an influence for all members, both as musician and composer, with Anneke Van Giersbergen being the influence behind the vocal style of singer Diana Rosa. Supercrush! Is filmed and edited by João Arcanjo (Rageful).
11th Dimesion were founded seven years ago, however, the project had been brewing since early 2011 when the four founder members met in another project. After the end of that project, they had an almost 3 years long run on the covers band circuit, where they grew their synergy and stage experience, truly transforming into a band. One of the most interesting aspects of the band 11th Dimension is the mix of musical backgrounds and influences. Traces of everything, from death and epic metal to rock and electronica, can be found in the compositions but the most predominant trace is, without a doubt, the modern wave of progressive. l
