Geoff Barone is a composer and multi-instrumentalist. He writes and records out of his home studio releasing self-produced instrumental and concept albums. He also writes and composes for TV, Film & Video games as well is a performer and singer-songwriter. The track The Sky Looks Different,
Barone states, «With music that originated from as early as 2011, the impetus for The Darkest Of Summers came when I got the sad news that my Grandmother had passed away in late 2012. Over the course of the next 6 years, I would be forced to say goodbye to several others in my life, which inspired even more tunes».

Barone is influenced by such artists as Devin Townsend, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Dream Theater & Yanni. Geoff Barone uses layers of passionate vocals, catchy and soaring melodies with intricate yet accessible musical arrangements as one critic said propels the listener to multiple galaxies all at the same time.
Barone also composed for the stage including Pinwheel! an original off-Broadway musical in 2015 as well as had his music used on programs such as The Vet Life on the Animal Planet channel.
