The Wolf You Feed is a metal project from France and maybe it’s a good idea to join them into a journey into the wilderness of Nature and Human? Their album …And The Wild Returns brimming with bright, optimistic, melancholic, dark and brutal songs.
…And The Wild Returns is the first album of The Wolf You Feed, a project envisioned by the bass player and songwriter Grégory Breton and recorded with the contribution of the skilled and renowned musicians Karim Attoumane on guitars and production (The Etherist, CharlElie Couture, Zuul FX…), Aurélien Ouzoulias on drums (Mörglbl, Satan Jokers, ZUUL FX, Disconnected, Temple of Silence, …) and Mehdi Vigier, a complete artist from outside of the Metal scene, on vocals. The album is made of 9 nine songs, including an instrumental with only intertwined bass tracks. It was produced by Karim Attoumane & Grégory Breton, engineered, edited & mixed by Karim Attoumane at the Panic Room Studio, France, and mastered by Brett Caldas-Lima at the Tower Studio, France (Devin Townsend, Ayreon, Pain of Salvation, Freak Kitchen, Septic Flesh, Adagio, Haken, Kalisia…). The band states, «The name of this musical project comes from the old Native American «Tale Of The Two-wolves» whose origin is however unknown and contested. This tale, widely shared on social networks these days, features two wolves fighting each other, one embodying negative emotions and attitudes (such as anger, envy, jealousy, sadness, regret, greed, resentment, superiority, arrogance, self-pity and lies) and the other, all positive feelings and states of mind (joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, benevolence, empathy, generosity, compassion, faith and truth)».
