Self-titled albums I think is little creative, but it is the music that counts. The band name The Bardic Depths I think is very good indeed. The Bardic Depths is a progressive rock project formed by the writing team of multi-instrumentalist, Dave Bandana and lyricist Bradley Birzer. The band is Born of the existing progressive rock group Birzer Bandanna An immersive combination of ethereal soundscapes with Floydian undertones, and Talk Talk influenced progressive pop sensibilities. Born of the existing progressive rock group Birzer Bandanna, The Bardic Depths is an all new project formed from writing team of Bradley Birzer – lyrics/concept and multi-instrumentalist, Dave Bandanna – Vocals/Guitars/ Keyboards/ Bass.

The album revolves around friendship and its ability to get us through anything including war, with the concept centering on the literary friendship formed between J.R.R Tolkien and C. S Lewis between 1931 and 1949. The album The Bardic Depths featuring contributions from Peter Jones (Camel/Tiger Moth Tales), Tim Gehrt (Streets/Steve Walsh), and Robin Armstrong (Cosmograf), amongst other Progressive luminaries.
