Devil`s Bargain: Filling the internet with music

Five days ago Devil’s Bargain released their very first lyric video Endless Fight, a song taken from the upcoming second album, Visions, that will be released May 9^th. The band quotes “Nowadays people are filling the internet with music so Devil’s Bargain isn’t going to stay behind.”

Devil’s Bargain was formed in 2013 by guitar player Jurgen Van Poppel and bass player Dirk Poppe. Although both had many years of experience, it took some time to find the right musicians. In 2016 the band as a quartet with Poppe and Poppel in front, was ready to hit the stage with a heavy metal set containing mostly their own songs. I think it’s always nice that bands write their own material.

All songs were actually written for one guitar, and after a few shows Devil’s Bargain decided to rewrite their songs for two guitars, and add more power and harmonics. So in 2017 a second guitarist joined the band, and as a quintet they recorded seven tracks in the studio. Satisfied with the result, Devil’s Bargain released their 7-track CD Deal With The Devil which came out at the beginning of 2018.

After this two of the members leaved the band, and two new musicians replaced them. From august 2019 till February 2020 the band recorded their second album, Visions, with new songs, and young blood. The use of a different recording studio and another producer ensured that the sound was considerably stronger than earlier. Devil’s Bargain main inspiration comes form Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Helloween, Iced Earth , Accept and many more.
