Mad Robots: Peculiar music video

Mad Robots - Pareidolia

Formerly known as Room Of The Mad Robots, now simply performing as Mad Robots, the Hungarian modern rock/metal band have released a brand new song and music video Peculiar Way as the first herald of their new record. Following the acoustic EP Behind Everything (2018) and their last album Rat King Racket (2015) and some lineup changes, Mad Robotshave now finished working on their fourth album Pareidolia which is going to be released via Edge Records on multiple online platforms, and physically as the bonus CD of the April edition of HammerWorld Magazine (Hungary).

Among winning the Wacken Metal Battle (Hungary) in 2014, and the Hungarian Live Award (2009) the band received notable recognition from various sources and proven themselves opening for the mighty Ozzy Osbourne and bands like Crowbar, Naam, Pro-Pain and Hellyeah. Since their formation in 2006 they’ve released four albums, three EPs, performed on the biggest festivals in their home country (Sziget Festival, Rockmaraton, Fezen, Hegyalja) and also made it to Wacken Open Air.

The band’s comments about the new song and music video: «This one’s going to be the opening song on our new album, an unusually short and straightforward one for us, with one or two twists as well of course. The main idea behind the music video is by Pt (Péter Mári, vocals) and the concept was made reality by director Joe Kozmér and his extremely passionate crew. The concept of this video is based on the Ars Poetica by David Lynch (which we also own musically) – the setting and the scenes themselves don’t have a particular meaning, there is no direct, spoonfed message. Instead, our thoughts are transmitted with a certain mood, impressions, dream-like pictures that the viewers can interpret though their own filters, so the creation can be fully understood in their own certain way by each viewer».

«It’s also important to note that although we’re unseen in the video clip, we act in it. It is of course intentional, we don’t want to distract attention from what really matters. And what matters for us is the art itself, never the artist, therefore it’s up to you to guess who is what in this video. Also there is a well-known face of the Budapest underground without a mask, our wonderful protagonist to whom we’d like to thank for taking this role!».

Slikt krydderet finner man blant annet i musikk.
