Curse are a band from Sweden that  plays  a raw and melodic  mixture of black and thrash metal. After a demo in 2012 followed by an indefinite hiatus until 2018, this Blackened Thrash Metal outfit hailing from Sweden is finally ready to unleash their Blackened Thrash assault to the world! Part Watain – part Satyricon – part Darkthrone – with plenty of other influences of the like. The new album is entitle The Awakening..And The Old and is a professional display of the style from an area of the world that essentially perfected it…The track Countess,

Keeping the spirit of Sweden’s metal pedigree burning brightly amidst a beaten path of imitators, Curse offer slice after slice of blackened death from the bloody, frozen sword of its forefathers. Mending the precision of thrash with the disdain and ferocity of death with a careful nod to metal traditions, this savage beast calculatingly stalks from track to track attacking the senses at every sharp turn. Demanding you recognize the rebirth of the homeland of extreme music deities, these tracks act as a stark reminder of how to make extreme metal matter again. The title track Awakening..And The Old,
