Airbag: Long and dreamy guitar solos…..
Airbag – A Day At The Beach

Airbag deliver a potent sound with often excellent soundscapes and in the center is the guitars to Bjørn Riis and he is a real guitar wizard! Friday June 19th the new and fifth album A Day At The Beach will be released. On Facebook the band states, «Airbag’s music is perhaps best described as scenic, epic rock or, as legendary Classic Rock Magazine said: Reminiscent of a late-nite, laid-back Pink Floyd». Their sound is as pure as it gets, successfully mixing long and dreamy guitar solos with a slight retro rock sound made very accessible for the new-age listeners. The track Machines And Men,
Airbag started in 1994 after a group of high school friends was inspired by seeing Pink Floyd live on the Division Bell tour. The bands music is clearly influenced progressive music of the Roger Waters era of Pink Floyd and it should be little surprise that all 5 band members are also part of the band: The Pink Floyd Experience. Airbag is also inspired by the resurgence of 1980s electronica, new wave and movie scores. Lead guitarist and main song-writer, Bjørn Riis, has also released solo recordings under his own name.
The current Airbag line-up Asle Tostrup / lead vocals, keyboards, programming, Bjørn Riis / guitars, keyboards, backing vocals and Henrik Fossum / drums. Since the 2016 album Dissconnected the basssit have left the band. The bass duties on A Day At The Beach was handled by guest musician Kristian Karl Hultgren from the awesome band Wobbler.
