Arshenic: With dark and psychedelic sound…..
Arshenic - Where Do You Sleep Last Night

Arshenic is a dark rock metal band from Poland. Arshenic’s music is based on experimenting with metal, Goth rock, folk, progressive rock and electronic. Poland’s gothic rock/metal collective Arshenic have released a new single. The band recorded the song Where Do You Sleep Last Night which was written by Leadbelly but is most known for being covered by Nirvana on their MTV Unplugged performance.
Arshenic’s version is based on the dark and psychedelic sound the band presented on their latest album Final Collision. The band comments on the cover :«April is the month of Kurt Cobain’s death, so we wanted to honor him by making our own interpretation of the song. We went to studio 3 weeks ago when the Coronavirus started to spread in Poland and the restrictions weren’t that strict».
The name of the band is a reference to arsenic, which is a poison and also a cure. That duality can be easily heard in the group’s songs. A strong female charismatic image is the calling card of the band and the sound is mainly defined by the various types of female vocals, both singing and screaming, clean and distorted guitars, diverse bass parts and dynamic drum playing with a little flavor of electronics, cellos and orchestral sounds in the background.
Arshenic’s lyrics cover topics like individualism, self-expression and inner emotional states and are written mostly in a dark poetic manner.
