Godsticks: UK’s most idiosyncratic rock bands…..

Vocalist Darran Charles delves into the song’s meaning, «To me the song is essentially about arguing with myself – looking inside and not liking some of the things I find. You can visualize the person you want to be but trying to change can also be a process just as hurtful as coming to terms with our flaws».

He continues, «All of us seemed to agree that this is our favorite song on the album, you’ll hear a definite progression from a light mood to a very dark and angsty vibe, which from a compositional standpoint was extremely challenging to achieve but eventually very rewarding».

To create the Victim video, Godsticks filmed pre-covid and they had joined forces with Blacktide Audio/Video yet again because they loved what they did with the video for our single Denigrate. They rose to the challenge once more, this time organizing an awesome light show to accompany the haunting melodies.

«We have also made use of the time in lockdown to put together a video for another track from Inescapable titled Time. We had a lot of fun making this video and it’s great to see that it got a few».
