Rick Wakeman & The English Rock Ensemble: Return to Wakeman Prog….

Rick Wakeman has turned 71, but the joy of making new music has obviously not disappeared. The album Red Planet will be released in four days and contains eight instrumental tracks. Red Planet is Wakeman`s 79^th studio album!

The album features 8 newly composed pieces, especially for this project, and actually harks back to Wakeman’s critically acclaimed debut album The Six Wives Of Henry VIII where there were 6 heavy keyboard pieces based around a central subject matter. It is a serious return to Wakeman Prog…

On Red Planet Wakeman has been in the stock and brought out his favorite analog keyboards along with his latest keyboards. He have also basically used the same formula he use the same composing formula he used 47 years ago on Six Wives Of Henry The VIII.

Rick Wakeman is a keyboard- virtuoso and author.  As a band member he played in The Strawbs and Yes and has been prolific as a solo artist. He has seen his sons Adam Wakeman and Oliver Wakeman follow him as keyboard wizards on the progressive landscape.
