Alpha Lighting System is a progressive rock band with jazz influences. They combines high quality musical arrangements with an elaborate narrative, which addresses topics related with astronomy, biology, technological advances and environmental awareness. After working with producer and multi-instrumentalist Billy Sherwood for their first and second releases, the band ventured on self-production, and teamed up with singer-songwriter and The Pineapple Thief’s front man Bruce Soord for the mixing of the album, along with Steve Kitch (TPT’s keyboardist) for the mastering. The band explains the concept of the album: «At the core of H+, lies transhumanism: the transcendence of our physiological, rational and emotional bearings. All of this leads to becoming more human».

H+ is their most ambitious work to date. The central piece of the album is the 25-minute H+ Suite, featuring the definitive version of the awarded song life.exe, co-written with Serj Tankian.
