Chepang: Insane and brilliant Immigrindcore…..
Chepang - Chatta

Chepang is a jazzy grind or Immigrindcore band from Nepal, currently living in USA, founded in 2016. Chepang now returns with their second full length album Chatta. Chepang is definitely Nepal’s most popular jazzgrind quintet and their music is blindingly fast and blindingly bright selection of headache-inducing acute angles for the discerning musical masochist. Actually it`s utterly difficult to describe Chepang`s music but it’s a Ripping Immigrindcore delivery with utterly unbound wild and obliterating all boundaries and facets of extreme music, borders and nationalism.
The album kicks off with a screeching saxophone freak out and ends with harsh electronic weirdness. The listener could expect some very weird dissonance played at a blistering speed. Tempo changes happen very abruptly and bring other styles into the mix that are at times unforeseen.
It took Chepang three years to finish the 17 minutes long album Chatta! We can come up with the obvious question … why. Turning grindcore into jazzgrindcore is obviously very hard when the goal is to make something that stands out in the crowd word and to integrate the hard hitting saxophone, and make an album without a dull moment.
An insane work of brilliance weaving disparate genres into a whole more cohesive than it has any right to be on paper; between this and sulfuric cautery, 2020 is shaping up to be an exceptional year for grind.
