WinterheartH – Riverbed Empire

Riverbed Empire focuses on the timeless paradox of a beautiful evil by detailing lesser known pieces of Newfoundland folklore and the intricacies of global atrocities. Andrew Marsh let is letting fans know, «this album is another evolution in the WinterheartH saga. It has been a long 4 years and we’re not just picking up where we left off, we’re setting new standards for ourselves». WinterheartH wanted a very good cover and contacted Mark Richards. Richards has been called to action to illustrate a cover that personifies the natural contrast of life’s beautiful darkness by drawing upon aspects of one of literature’s most resonant works, Inferno by Dante. The three Furies against an infernal castle backdrop solidifies the overarching menacing sensibilities throughout the music. Mark Richard’s previous work includes illustrations for: Primus, The Black Dahlia Murder, Pig Destroyer, and Carnifex.
Winterhearth’s debut Curse The Summer swiftly gained recognition from local media outlets. The Scope awarded them with Silver in Best Heavy Artist and The Newfoundland Herald exclaimed, «Winterhearth has set the island’s metal scene on fire!» 2016’s sophomore album Resettlement morphed into a dense audio force that showed the band has no intention of simply recreating the same experience. Once again taking second for Best Loud Band. In promotion of Resettlement fans were furiously rallied into a frenzy at the sold-out album release show, Maritime Metal & Hard Rock Festival, 709 Metalfest, Anvil’s sold-out event, Midsummer Mayhem.
