DarWin – Darwin: Frozen War 2

Iceland has only 364,134 inhabitants. Nevertheless, the country produces many good football players, handball players and chess players. In addition, there are an impressive number of really good musicians and bands that the Saga Island produces.
Today we present DarWin: Frozen War 2. The second album from the Icelandic composer Darwin is co-produced by Simon Phillips and also includes contributions from Matt Bissonette, Billy Sheehan, Guthrie Govan, Greg Howe, Derek Sherinian. Darwin will release the new album on November 6th.
Future History is taken from the new album by DarWin, DarWin 2: A Frozen War, the follow up to the Icelandic musician’s acclaimed debut Origin Of Specie. The album features the talents of legendary drummer Simon Phillips as well as Guthrie Govan, Greg Howe, Billie Sheehan, Derek Sherinian and lead vocalist Matt Bissonette. DarWin says: «I started working on this shortly after we finished the first album. We had been thinking a lot about climate change. Those events actually affected our own lives very directly». The album was produced by DarWin and Simon Phillips, mainly in the USA and Iceland. The track Future History, (Featuring Simon Phillips, Billy Sheehan, Greg Howe & Matt Bissonette.
Once more DarWin has assembled a stunning ensemble of musicians. DarWin II: A Frozen War continues the core collaboration with Simon Phillips (drums, Toto/The Who/Jeff Beck), Matt Bissonette (Elton John, David Lee Roth, Ringo Starr) and DarWin. Joining them are powerhouse players Billy Sheehan (bass, Mr Big/ Steve Vai/Winery Dogs), Guthrie Govan (guitar, Aristocrats/Asia/Hans Zimmer/Steven Wilson), Greg Howe (guitar, Michael Jackson/Justin Timberlake), Derek Sherinian (keyboards, Dream Theater/Alice Cooper/Black Country Communion) and many more…
The second album builds on the themes of Origin Of Specie, – first single Nightmare Of My Dreams featured a stunning video centered around the theme of the recent wildfires = and filmed in areas of Australia directly affected. The other tracks build on DarWin’s sound – drawing the best elements of progressive rock with a depth of vocal sound scrapes and songwriting. There is a generous amount of guitar shred and heavy grooves on display for the rock faithful who demand athletic performances. The track Nightmare of My Dreams (Ft.
