Lyrics:

This wind in my ears

Is a lesson to be learned

As I hasten through my fall

Off the tallest wall

A change of the guard is due

Some younger blood and modern drawl

Gimme that fucking drawl!

Somebody please wake me

Don’t let it end

Not like this

Not like this

It’s picking up speed now,

But I’m not ready yet

To give up on my dreams

These cuts and these bruises

Remind me all that I did wrong

I graze my fingers as I go

Accelerating into stone

I flap my arms to borrow time away

From the laughter of the clones

The gloating of the drones

Somebody please wake me

Don’t let it end

Not like this

Not like this

It’s picking up speed now,

But I’m not ready yet

To give up on my dreams

I cover my eyes

This plummet seems to take too long

I think I’m done being strong

I promise I’ll just come along

Somebody please wake me

Don’t let it end

Not like this

Not like this

It’s picking up speed now,

But I’m not ready yet

To give up on my dreams
