Lethe is a experimental music project by Tor Helge Skei (Manes, Manii etc) and Anna Murphy (Cellar Darling). The Lethe project offers and deliver a combination of metal, triphop, electronic, pop and experimental music, are releasing their brand new video for the track Delta and that song is the second track and video from the new Lethe single Gamma, a two-track stand-alone single consisting of music from this Norwegian/Swiss project. The band are also expecting a new album for 2021.
Lethe have close collaborator Eivind Fjøseide, as well as a long list of external contributors. The band was started in the end of 2012 with a focus of musical and artistic experiments, and right from the beginning, the main rule has been that there are no rules, no expectations, no compromises. The band has been categorized as a lot of things, genre-bending, style-bastardization, eclectic, and even just weird, but even if experimentalism and fuck-all-rules is an important factor, the band is not afraid to incorporate melody and catchiness into the music. Lethe is something unique, something personal and quite different… Lyrically and conceptually, Lethe is like a journey through the back alleys of the human mind/psyche, through dreams and nightmares, paranoia, mental breakdown, inner darkness.. No religion, fantasy, or pretend play.. Real life, real experiences, real horror..
Lehte is a music project between Norwegian Tor-Helge Skei and Swiss Anna Murphy who are in the class for electronic avant-garde metal. In Lethe’s tapping, the music is melancholy and often ethereal, always dark but fascinating, often powerful and introverted and varied and meticulously worked through. There is plenty of stylistic direction that is explored, and which is carefully put together to the slightly unique Lethe sound. Epic avant-garde music, trip-hop, windswept electro-pop and experimental sounds in beautiful union.
