In 1949, Costa Rica became the first country in the world to disband the military. The country today has a stable democracy, and is the oldest democracy in Latin America. This is very nice to hear, but in a music context it is also important to state that the country also has many musicians and bands that make very good music. One of these is Ancient sphereS that a few days ago released their third EP The Trve Rehearsals.

The Trve Rehearsals offers close to 21 minutes with rather distinctive and fascinating black metal. The album was produced by Ancient sphereS and Hexagon Prods Recorded at Bawo Las Cumbres Costa Rica, November 22th 2020. As a fact Ancient Speres takes its name from the ancient stone spheres that were found in southern Costa Rica in the 1930’s. So far Ancient sphereS have released two full-length LP`s

Ancient sphereS was founded in November 2010 in Cartago Costa Rica by Jorge, Adolfo and Denis with no name or music composed but with one genre defined, Black Metal. The band was called Ancient sphereS and Denis leaves the band and some original songs were composed and recorded by Adolfo as part of the first long play. Due hardware issues, this recording was limited to 5 songs.

In February 1st 2012 a new Black Metal band was released to the world with the digital EP called Cold Winds From The North… Stacked in the Deepest Woodlands”. Five songs composed and recorded by Adolfo with two lyrics by Jorge and three by Ron V.Li.

The next year the first LP called Tales Of Suwoh was released in digital format with ten new songs composed, written and recorded by Adolfo with Jorge in vocals. This LP was promoted in Europe under the Ancient Worship European Tour 2013. The first live show for Ancient sphereS was in Marktwirtschaft Halle Germany. In November Ancient sphere” arrives to Mexico for one show in Distrito Federal and then Puebla being part of the Mayhem’s “Pure Fucking Armageddon Tour” with Yeudiel on bass and Eytraz on drums.
