Green Carnation: 2021 starts perfect…..

Green Carnation – The World Without A View

Green Carnation have in my opinion given all music lovers a perfect start on 2021, although the track The World A View was released very late in 2020.

The band comments: «This piece of music is made for our fans who had been looking forward to see us live this year and to all those who have graced us with their love and support through the years», says founding member and guitarist Tchort.

Norwegian progressive metal outfit Green Carnation have record a brand new single The World Without A View. Composed, arranged and recorded during the Covid-19 lockdown, the band has dedicated their new single to their fans.

Vocalist Kjetil Nordhus comments: «This is a big day for Green Carnation, being able to share a new song that wasn’t planned at all before Covid-19. We managed to compose this in the strictest lockdown period in Norway in 2020, and then record it in the studio this autumn. The music video is made by Costin Chioreanu, and is a wonderful art video, showing how he made our cover art. We would like to thank Costin for his amazing work. The song and the video are both big bonuses this year for us, and hopefully also for our fans».

Lyrics;

It‘s late December and soon we start again

In awe and wonder

A pale moon smiling on a meadow dressed in white

Where I’m hiding

But as you dozed off

You left me wide awake

My years have taught me this

I can let it in or drown

Darkness has a place

And if you let it breed

Nothing comes alive

Beauty won ́t appear

Birthright

The comedy of fear is wasted

I already loved and tasted life

Belief will just provoke my sane side

I already loved and tasted life

In your search you enter

The world without a view

Full of song and laughter

Simple joy that you outgrew

Winter left us, we’re on our own again

No more hiding

Again we´ll ride along

Even if it’s just a thought

As above so below

Calculating the risk

Anarchy in your head

Older mind, older fear

Set sail for home

Set sail for adventures

Set sail for strange

Set sail for bliss

Set sail for the unknown

Set sail for grace

Set sail for home

In your search you enter

The world without a view

Full of song and laughter

Simple joy that you outgrew

Slikt krydderet finner man blant annet i musikk.
