For the second album Furvent by Le Grand Sbam is a bigger band regarding the number of musicians. In addition and as a bonus the sonic varations has exbanded. Still Le Grand Sbam is based around many vocalists and piano and other keys and is a true chamber rock band with great will to explore the RIO universe but also with a moderne Zeuhl touch and math rock on the agenda.
The Grand Sbam, an earthy music ensemble, embarks with Furvent on a new octet journey, meeting the wind and the elements, inspired by A. Damasio: The Horde of the Contrevent and by the symbolism of I Ching. Carved in the continuous flow of sound, the music of the ensemble is a de-fluence, a circumvention, an inflection of air and time.
Nowhere between rock, contemporary music, early music, jazz, improvisation or even electroacoustics does it overlap with our elusive present. It immerses the listener in a familiar universe with an unpredictable fate, caresses him like a gentle zephyr and propels him straight into the eye of the storm. Powerful and delicate, virtuoso and sensitive, the music of Furvent, composed for 4 hands by Guilhem Meier and Antoine Arnera, is much contrasted, exploring the very rich possibilities of an instrumental ensemble with singular and generous sounds.
