Areis: Brings a dose of blasting/hard -hitting heavy metal…..

Areis (meaning to raise in ancient Occitan), is a band from Bagnols-sur-Cèze (France), in the Occitania region. The quartet takes inspiration in music genres such as hardcore, black metal, post-hardcore and punk which they’ve blended, using dark, occult and Occitanian-themed lyrics, into no nonsense, gloomy music.

Paul Gonzalvez, former Right To Te Void guitar player, is back with his new band Areis to bring a dose of blasting/hard -hitting heavy metal once again! In 2020, AREIS signed a deal with Wormholedeath for the release of their self-titled debut album Areis The track A Wretched Wow,

Lyrics :

Hollow inside

Merely a pawn of fate

Cast aside

My inner suffering awaits

Hollow inside

Drowned in hatred

Sunk by the tide

The sky turns red

A wretched vow

Carved in stone

Empty inside

Filled by the void

A wretched vow

Carved in stone

No need to linger on your gods

Once this frail

Destiny, causality

Hope shatters

Let it all fade into nothing

No need to linger on your gods

Once this frail hope shatters

Destiny, causality

Let it all fade into nothing

Empty inside

Filled by the void

A wretched vow

Carved in stone

Empty inside

Filled by the void

A wretched vow

Carved in stone

Hollow inside

Only a vessel

My disgust abides

By a forlorn reign

No need to linger on your gods

Once this frail

Destiny, causality

Hope shatters

Let it all fade into nothing

No need to linger on your gods

Once this frail hope shatters

Destiny, causality

Let it all fade into nothing
