Andrew Stone: With love for all the great British and American bands of the early 70`s…..

Andrew Stone has been a musician for a while now. He was born in the fifties, and loved all the great British and American bands of the early 70’s. He has had a career as a musician, a sound engineer, producer, and record company boss.

Now, he has fulfilled his ambition to bring his love for English Progressive Rock into one album The Pilgrim. A true representation of his pilgrimage, and a life in music. 

Andrew Stone states about The Pilgrim, «This is a 5 Song album.

I was inspired to create this album by a story, namely Kim, by Rudyard Kipling, and in particular the pilgrimage of an aged Tibetan monk through the plains and mountains of India as he searches for a sacred river, which he believes will bring him Enlightenment.

Although this album is a solo project, it has been made possible by the wonders of modern technology, and through collaboration. This has allowed four friends from opposite sides of the Atlantic to re-visit a musical relationship which had its genesis at a UK Midlands University in 1979, where we formed a band known as “Tiny Lites”. This, at least for me, prompted a lifetime’s career in music, and continues to inspire and motivate my creative world to this day.

In this sense, The Pilgrim is not just about a character in a book, it is also about me. My heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed and made this possible.
