Subterranean Masquerade: Israeli’s finest world music oriented symphonic progrock/metal outfit…..

The band states, «Mångata our second single from Mountain Fever and we are very satisfied to share our new animated video clip for our new single Mångata made by Costin Chioreanu».

«On this track we’re happy to feature on bouzouki and solo guitar by Idan Amsalem from Orphaned Land, This is the closing track from our new album Mountain Fever, coming out on May 14th».

Without modesty, band Subterranean Masquerade defines itself as Israeli’s finest world music oriented symphonic progrock/metal outfit! Ascend  video was filmed during our recent European Tour with Orphaned Land / SystemHouse33, Video directed and edited by Yalon Schori.

The Ascend lyrics:

Pray

For my submission, dedicated far away

It makes it better

As long as I repent

In colors of a blushed proposal

My faith will never end

Your dresses, they’re descended from the jaws of heaven

Your advent

Fed your worshipers’ stomach

Your second coming

Pockets overspent

Pure cement

Do your worst so I just might have to

Convert my convents once again

Pray

I might as well

To every curve around your wishing well

Dresses will ascend

Your own jaws of heaven

My faith will never end

My faith will never end

Your advent

Fed you worshipers’ stomach

Your second coming

Pockets overspent

Pure cement

Do your worst so I just might have to

Convert my convents once again

Your notes through the cracks

My walls, they still fall apart…

…God has only lovers

The band states, «Special Thank You goes to all the amazing people and bands we meet on the road. Mountain Fever , our fourth full-length album (and the third in 6 years) is now finished, stay tuned for an official release date».

«We think this is a kick ass of an album and for sure a major step forwards for us in terms of musicianship and production. This is also the album we made our sound-geek dreams come true – we worked with some of the finest minds in the business and recorded at top-tier facilities with top-tier musicians».

«The artwork and layout for the new album are being taken care of carefully by our long-time partner, Costin Chioreanu».

«Mountain Fever boasting ten new songs encompassing nearly fifty-five minutes of material, Mountain Fever pushes the balance between pioneering experimentalism to our own take on modern pop culture and its manifestation in the Middle East. Revealing an album composed of African and Balkan brass sections, Arabic violins, extended vocal techniques, and several special guest appearances, watch out for radio friendly hooks that emerge out of heavy riffs and polychromatic arrangements».

«Mountain Fever features several notable guest contributions, including drums from Matan Shmuely (Orphaned Land), bouzouki and lead guitars on Mångata by Idan Amsalem (Orphaned Land), Brass by Yakir Sasson (Quarter to Africa) and vocals on Somewhere I Sadly Belong by  Ashmedi (Melechesh) and Jackie Hole (The Super Things). Also on gang vocals our brothers from Sinnery».

«The album was recorded between the Golan Heights, Israel to Fascination Street in Sweden (Leprous, Katatonia, Opeth) where it was engineered by David Castillo, mixed by Jens Bogren and mastered by Tony Lindgren, completed with artwork and layout by Costin Chioreanu of Twilight 13 Media».

«Special thanks to Yuval Kramer (Amaseffer, Hammercult) and his Libra Studios in Jerusalem, Arie Aranovich and Jonathan Kossov ♡♡♡».
