Canadian melodic death/progressive metal band Vindictive Regeneration released their debut self-titled album. The album was recorded at VR Productions by Paul Messier. Lyrically the album deals with a man in the post apocalypse with schizophrenia, who receives a vision that the world he lives in is digital and that he can end it by entering a code into a computer at a control center, but there’s a twist at the end.

Vindictive Regeneration was formed in 2020 at Calgary, Alberta by Paul E. Messier (vocal/guitar), Jeffrey Kohld Kelly (bass) and David Lanas (drums). The band’s debut album tells a story of a man with schizophrenia in the post apocalypse who receives a vision that the world he lives in is digital and can end it by going to a control center and entering a code to emit a frequency that will free everyone from the digital reality.
