Gexerott is a black metal band from Medellín, Colombia. Formed in 2004, Gexerott performed a traditional raw black metal style with ambiental sounds which got captured in its first full length from 2007 and titled Grim Arcane Winds. Gexerott records their second album Into Descensus Impious Ad Gloriam in 2012. For this album, the band took another direction into a more ambiental and ritualistic sound (in collaboration with E. Kerval – Acherontas, Emme Ya, Hetroertzen, Enthroned) in high contrast with violent passages that reminds the magnificence of black metal when it’s done with conviction, respect, honesty and originality.

In 2018 Gexerott goes to Umbral Studio (Caldas, Antioquia) to record their new album titled Hallucinetic Violet Ignition (or Havigni), an album that was born from the same evolution seed that gave birth to the previous albums, and that provides a new perspective of the spiritual and artistic sound developed by its members. This album promises an experience where the listener can be absorbed into its ceremonial and melodic, yet raw and violent sound carefully leashed to a chaos-gnostic philosophy. Gexerott musical manifestation has no intention or goal in any form to sound like a specific band or genre even when there are similarity with aesthetic forms of bands like Acherontas, Hetroertzen, Ascension and other (sub)conscious black light followers. Hallucinetic Violet Ignition will be released April 14^th.
