David Minasian have released remixed Double A-side single The Sound Of Dreams and Masquerade, out now on Golden Robot Records.
2020 saw the release of the landmark album from progressive art rock musician David Minasian. Titled The Sound Of Dreams and released via Golden Robot Records, it featured a who’s who of progressive rock royalty.
Minasian will be releasing Random Dreams: The Very Best of David Minasian Vol. 1. both digitally and on vinyl in late 2021. We have been given a taste of this with the remixed double-A sided single The Sound Of Dreams and Masquerade, both of which will appear on the upcoming album and are out now on all digital platforms!
The Sound Of Dreams 2021 remix is the title track from keyboardist, singer and composer David Minasian’s highly praised 2020 album. It combines the talents of some of progressive’s rock most notable icons, who for the first time perform together – including lead singer Annie Haslam of Renaissance, guitarist Steve Hackett of Genesis and Yes bassist Billy Sherwood.
Masquerade 2021 remix is one of the many highlights from classically trained David Minasian’s breakout symphonic rock album Random Acts of Beauty. Featuring the rare participation of legendary Camel guitarist Andrew Latimer as a guest, this piece still rings in the ears of fans.
David Minasian is a keyboardist, vocalist, composer and producer who began classical piano training at the age of five. His critically acclaimed 2010 album Random Acts of Beauty became one of the biggest progressive rock releases of the year and featured a rare guest appearance by legendary guitarist Andrew Latimer of the English progressive rock band Camel.
David Minasian is also a motion picture producer, director and writer with over 150 credits to his name. He has worked alongside some of Hollywood’s elites including Academy Award winners Mel Gibson and Martin Landau, as well as many musical icons including Elton John, The Moody Blues, Alan Parsons, Kris Kristofferson and Three Dog Night.
David Minasian’s long awaited follow up album, The Sound Of Dreams, enlists a virtual who’s who of legendary musicians including Moody Blues guitarist/vocalist Justin Hayward, Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett, Renaissance vocalist Annie Haslam, Yes bassist Billy Sherwood, Alan Parsons lead vocalist PJ Olsson, Moody Blues live vocalist Julie Ragins and Pentagram founding member drummer/guitarist Geof O’Keefe.
The album’s title track is an 11-minute tour-de-force which brings Steve Hackett, Annie Haslam and Billy Sherwood together for the first time on the same recording. As David Minasian says, «These are the heroes I grew up with. Co-writing and recording with them was a dream come true. Therefore the album’s title couldn’t be more accurate – for this is what dreams coming true sounds like».
