Three years following the release of their promising debut album Attempts At Speech, Oslo-based post-punk band Duvel are back with their self-titled sophomore album, due out on July 2nd via Fysisk Format.

Initially formed by Zacharias Flaathe on bass, Brage Lindebrekke on drums and Jack Holldorff on guitar and vocals, Duvel expanded into a four-piece band with the entrance of Kaspar Nikolaisen Hegre on keys right after the release of their debut album and this gives their sound an added layer of energy and drive, as well as dragging their music more towards 80’s new wave sound.  The track Human,

Recorded and produced by Morten Øby and Duvel, mixed by Morten Øby, the new album sees the Norwegian band merging a combustible post-punk sound with an 80’s goth-tinged rock and the irreverence of new wave sound, like of mix of Savages, Siouxsie and the Banshees and Priests.
