A Gardening Club Project: Just a gorgeous, inimitable, eternal album!
A Gardening Club Project - The Blue Door

The Gardening Club Project is a progressive rock band infused with plenty of other styles and influences, founded by Martin Springett, the band has released three albums, the Gardening Club, The Riddle, and Boy On A Bike. The band hails from Toronto Ontario and Victoria BC.
The Blue Door is the new album from the band Gardening Clubs Project and that album contains many different and fascinating aspects. The music is focused on the songwriting and are not bombastic but is very intriguing.
UK-born Martin Springett—an accomplished musician and illustrator who had produced comics for the legendary Heavy Metal magazine and designed and illustrated record covers for Columbia was living in Toronto and released his own self-titled album as The Gardening Club. 1983 however was not a good time to release a prog-rock album, but now prog is probably likely respected as in the golden days in 70s.
Said about he band, «Just a gorgeous, inimitable, eternal album that deserves to live forever».
Ulli Heiser reviewer in RockTimes states, «Martin Springett and his congenial partner Norm Macpherson move stylistically in the wide landscapes of the prog. On the one hand there is of course the mother prog Rock. However, not in the usual bombastic or academic versions, but rather – and the prog rock mother has many children – rather a way of playing that looks towards Canterbury».
