Psilocybe Larvae is a four-piece band formed in 1996, Vyborg (now based in St. Petersburg) playing melodic, manic depressive and haunting doom/death/dark/progressive metal.
Russian melodic doom/death metallers Psilocybe Larvae premiered their new usic video for the second single Inner Darkness” from the upcoming album Where Silence Dwells” which will be out on CD via Fono Ltd (Russia) and Red Rivet Records (Japan), as well as a cassette version (as self-release) on December 15th. It will be available digitally on all major platforms on December 10th. Vinyl is expected out in mid-February 2022. The video was directed by the cartoonist Daria Korneeva, who worked successfully on the song Trial By Fire from the previous band’s album The Labyrinth Of Penumbra.

The Russian band Psilocybe Larvae is named after a line in the song Whatever That Hurts by Tiamat. Between 2000 and 2012 they released four full-length album. Then it became quiet until now when the band suddenly do a comeback with the single The Fall Of Icarus.
Psilocybe Larvae plays a dark metal which is melodic and doom metal/death metal drained. The Russian band have a good mix of everything that many metal fans enjoy in this kind of music – heavy riffs, catchy melodies and dark atmosphere.The story of Psilocybe Larvae started in 1996 in the Russian city of Vyborg, After recording a first demo, Liar, in the very same year the band soon entered a professional studio to record a song for the Russian Alternative Extreme Music sampler.
