Catalán: Very fascinating music from this long, narrow coastal strip country!

Chile, officially the Republic of Chile, is one of the countries considered the Southern Cone in South America. Chile occupies a long, narrow coastal strip between the Andes Mountains in the east and the Pacific Ocean in the west.

In this long, narrow coastal strip country there are many very good bands and among them Catalán led by Mauricio Catalán! The band have recently released the album First Stop Station. Catalán is a solo project of the guitarist Mauricio Catalán, guitarist of Vitalist, Bassist of Solus Ex Inferis, Ex-Halekin, Ex-Pronoias. Obvious a very dedicated and skilled musician.

Catalán explores different nuances of progressive rock with their music and there are a fair amount of complex but the music is very audible and very good, especially the last song whose duration is 17 minutes.

The band is from Viña Del Mar is a coastal city in Chile. Located in the Valparaíso region, it is known as a tourist destination with several sandy beaches, a casino and an annual music festival!!!!!
