Marcin Pajak: With very prog drenched soundscapes.

Marcin Pajak - Sound Of The Trees

Sound Of The Trees is the new album from the Polish very clever musician Marcin Pajak, and this is an album lasting for close to an hours, and with many very, very good songs. Again Pajak hae delivered an album with much fascinating and exciting prog music. The main theme of the album is lifestyle changes, adapting to new trends as we journey through all the growing isolation and confusion of today’s world. Important topics indeed!

Pajak offers various but very prog drenched soundscapes on the new album. The sound is lush but contrasted between harder and softer parts freshen up. Production wise the music is very solid fundamental and that is something I appreciate very much. As a kind of bonus there are a fair amount of different layers and textures.

Line-up

Marcin Pajak – vocals, instruments

Marcin Pająk was born on October 21, 1982 in Skarzysko-Kamienna / Poland. At the age of 17, he began his musical education at a local Yamaha school in Skarzysko-Kamienna. He played the guitar in several projects including heavy metal band Stone Heads, then in 2004 he went to London, where, together with drummer Tomasz Faustus, he founded a new project Out of Heaven. Then Marcin Pajak joined the group Schist (www.schist.co.uk), which in 2009 recorded an album entitled Tribulation.

In 2011, when Schist suspended his activities, Marcin joined the Thetragon band reactivated in London and previously known in Poland, and also began his solo project called Marcin Pajak.

Marcin Pajak’s first inspiration was the Pink Floyd band recommended to him by his older brother playing the bass guitar. With time, he also discovered new music genres, represented, among others, by bands such as Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Sepultura or Panther and many others, but it is the music of Pink Floyd and then other representatives of progressive rock (e.g. Steven Wilson, King Crimson, Opeth, Dream Theater, Riverside and Porcupine Tree) left the biggest trace in Marcin Pajak’s music.

Slikt krydderet finner man blant annet i musikk.
