The Bandit Lab was their fourth album, originally released in 2001. It was recorded in Duper Studio with producer Jørgen Træen (Jaga Jazzist, Kaizers Orchestra, etc.) and is seen by many as Sister Sonny’s masterpiece.
Sister Sonny started working on the material that ended up as the album The Bandit Lab during the recording of the Duperbeach EP ( out 2000) . As they say themselves: We had a really fun time working with drum machines and keyboards only . Some of us had started home recordings and soon took our ideas to the Duper seesions. After a few months we decided to go to Denmark to finsih the album in a rented housein the middle of nowhere. When the album was released , we labeleled it”a 2-record set in 1 compact disc. We are very happy t o be able to present it now, 20 years on, as it was originally intented.
