Dunwich or fans of High On Fire, Electric Wizard, Orange Goblin, Corrosion Of Conformity. This is the debut album of the band, delivered in pain between technical problems, pandemic and other mishappenings. Recorded by Chris Dufour at the DC Studio, little by little, between January 2017 and October 2020. Mixed and mastered by Fred Barroit in July 2021. Artwork cover by Underwill

Dunwich was born at the end of 2013, designed by musical friends from different formations. Kev (Bézukry, Guest, Putridity Pleasure Party…) on vocals, Olivier (Crime Scene, Destroy Your Enemy, In Hell) and Vincent (Destroy Your Enemy) on guitars, François on bass and Maxime on drums.

The desire to edit a combo combining stoner, metal, doom and sludge (like bands like Electric Wizard, Orange Goblin, High On Fire…) was too strong ! DUNWICH is also a title of Electric Wizard, as well as a novel by HP Lovecraft ! The atmosphere was calm…

The composition can begin and a dozen titles will be created, mixing a dirty and rough sound with a shouted and torn song, titles alternately, rhythmic and swinging, but also heavy and psyched. The concerts follow (Rouen, St Omer, Calais, Lille…) and in the wake the recording of 3 titles also ! Self-produced, they will be posted on Soundcloud.

In April 2017, François leaves Calais and Dunwicj… Carl (ex Hanky-Panky and Dee N Dee) will replace him on bass. The time to rework the set, to create new tracks, a few months later they resume the concerts and festivals in the region, before entering the studio. They recorded 10 tracks, with the help of Chris (Death Control) and had them mixed and mastered by Fred (Zoë). Meanwhile they welcome Pierrot (ex 12,7 and Deicyfer) to the battery. He will replace Max who was no longer very interested to continue…
