Affection: Brings together melodies with depth and relentless attitude.

Since 2013, Affection has been roaring by mixing elements from modern rock and alternative metal. Metal & modern rock hybrid from Helsinki, Finland. Affection brings together melodies with depth and relentless attitude.

Affection’s debut album Remnants builds an honest and captivating scenery for the listener. It offers heavy guitar riffs, raw energy, and catchy melodies. The album presents the band’s musically enriched and deepened, multifaceted, character.

The record is like a rollercoaster ride, on which Affection carries you through meaningful, yet sometimes heavy themes. Remnants is not an easy album: fiery emotions and delusive wanderings in dark waters are inevitable.

«Some of the topics are gloomier, but in the end, the main theme is keeping oneself together. It serves also as a reminder that it’s crucial to hold on to the core of yourself – to what each of us is by nature. In a world where people have the absurd need to put themselves and each other in some kind of molds, it seems to be the most valuable thing we have». -Andy H.C. / vocalist
