Spectrum is the new and sophomore album from the Italian musician Riccardo Romano. Romano is member of the superb prog band RanestRane and also plays Steve Rothery and Dave Foster. On the album he do the lead and backing vocals, keyboards, electric bass, mandolin and percussions. Multi-instrumentalist and he is also a composer, a songwriter, a sound engineer, an arranger, as well. Impressing.
Says, «We present Wrong, our new single, extracted from the new album Spectrum. It tells the story of an autistic boy imagined in the first person. to write it I tried to imagine and decode my son’s thoughts, thinking about everything he can express and above all what he cannot say».
«Being the father of an autistic boy is a long challenge and every day you have to be creative, invent new ways to get to places that at first glance would seem inaccessible. but I think I’ve come a long way with him in all these years, and that’s why I decided to tell our story.
Wrong is part of a long suite entitled THe Winner, because that’s how I like to think of us: we have seen many things, known desolation and all shades of black. but I can say that we feel like winners now, and we always aim for the light».
