Chugger: Sonically they walk the razorwired border between groove metal and death metal.

Gothenburg’s finest groove death metallers Chugger are back with their brand new reimagining of Five Feet Down!

Lyrics:

One of your truths has seen the light

None of your allies left to hide your pride

Given you all I’ve got to give

Gave it all for you and then you made me burn

I trusted you to be the one

There’s nothing more for me to say

Down

Five feet down

You’re going down

Five feet down

Five feet down

Lost in a daze you had me bound

Tighten the vice of shame you built for me

Two in this world colliding hard

After all this time of anger and despise

I trusted you to be the one

There’s nothing more for me to do

Down

Five feet down

You’re going down

I’ll drag your name down in the dirt

Five feet down

I’ll put your body in the ground

Five feet down

All that you showed me

I could never find alone

I see it clearly

I will always hate you

Our lying hearts, together on our own

Leave it all behind, forever moving on

We stand alone, watching it fall apart

Down

Five feet down

You’re going down

Five feet down

Down

Five feet down

You’re going down

Five feet down

«Trailing in the bloodstained footsteps of Bleed, we are proud to announce our brand new version of FIive Feet Down!».

«C»

«Five Feet Down actually started out completely different, and the Human Plague version originally had a long instrumental intro. Then we decided to throw all that away and just start with a kick to the face. And with Eric’s phenomenal feet at the pedals, that kick is now stronger than ever».

Chugger is a five-piece death machine hailing from Gothenburg, Sweden. Sonically they walk the razorwired border between groove metal and death metal, expertly navigating and picking between the two. Like a bastard child of Lamb Of God and Machine Head, fused with a healthy dose of old-school At The Gates, this groove death metal monster proves that the golden days of Gothenburg metal is far from over. Visually the band dips their blood stained fists in buckets filled with Rammstein, Slipknot and the horror movies we all love to hate.

On stage Chugger is a well oiled machine that has delivered intense performances on top stages across multiple continents all over the world, even praised by the founding father of Wacken Open Air himself. If you have the opportunity to catch them live – buckle up, kid. You’re in for a treat!

«Every track really shows what Chugger is truly capable of after years of honing their craft to the point where it’s extremely deadly to the touch».

«Chugger is part of a terrific group of contemporary bands that keeps Sweden at the very forefront of modern metal».

«Fits alongside the likes of Lamb Of God, In Flames and Arch Enemy».
